San Blas Islands, Panama Overview
The San Blas Islands of Panama are an archipelago comprising approximately 378 islands and cays, of which only 49 are inhabited. They lie off the north coast of the Isthmus of Panama, east of the Panama Canal. They are home to the Kuna Indians and a part of the comarca (district) Guna Yala along the Caribbean coast of Panama. The area is popular for sailing, as it is known for its beauty and lack of hurricanes.

San Blas have a tropical maritime climate with high temperatures and often-humid days. The temperature is never below 20° degrees Celsius and the average temperature is around 27 degrees Celsius or 90° degrees Fahrenheit. The seasons temperatures are the same all year through, but have a rainy season from May till January that sometimes gives more rain then you need, but enough sunshine to enjoy the beach. An average rainfall of 200 mm every month is common in the rain season.
