Plockton & Loch Carron - Highlands - Scotland
This beautiful wee fishing village profits from the Gulf stream hence the Palm Trees. If you have never visited Plockton then I would recommend it as it is spectacular. Plockton which is on the banks of Loch Carron can be found just 5 miles north of Kyle of Lochalsh.
Harbor at Plockton, Scotland
We visited the small town of Plockton on our way from Kyle of Lochalsh to Inverness. Plockton is accessed by a sometimes-single-track road, although the road east to Stromeferry is all one-track and very scenic. The town was used for filming of the Hamish MacBeth televison series ca. 2000.
