Sailing Across the Pacific Ocean 2013 (Part 18) - Palmerston Atoll (Cook Islands)
Join the crew of Wakaya as we explore one of the most unique and interesting islands in the world, Palmerston Island. Every person living on this island descended from the same English man who settled here 150 years ago (William Marsters).
Palmerston Island Community
During the final stages of our sail across the Pacific from Panama to New Zealand, we visited Palmerston Island, a small community started by one British man, William Marsters, and three Polynesian wives back in the 19th Century. We were hosted by Eddie, the head of one of the three lines of family.

Aitutaki - Cook Islands, South Pacific
Aitutaki is listed in some books as one of the 50 places everyone should see before they die. The island and its stunning, turquoise blue lagoon has been the location for the US TV series "Survivor Cook Islands" and the UK TV series "Shipwrecked".
