Neiafu, Tonga Overview
Neiafu is the second-largest town in Tonga with a population of about 6,000. It is situated beside the Port of Refuge, a deep-water harbour on the south coast of Vava’u, the main island of the Vava’u archipelago in northern Tonga. To the north-west lies the 131m high Mt. Talau with its distinctive flat top.
Neiafu is the administrative centre of the Vava’u group and has government offices, banks, schools, a police station and a hospital. It is also an important centre for tourism with many yachts anchoring in the Port of Refuge.

The botanical garden is located in Vava'u, 10 minutes from Neiafu. It consists of 22 acres (89,000 m 2) of privately owned gardens and was developed in 1972 by Haniteli Fa'anunu.

Adventure Backpackers, Neiafu, Va'vau, Tonga
I went to Va'vau for a week while living in Pahu, Nuku'alofa, Tonga and this was the backpackers I stayed at, for any other backpackers, ask for Derik or Emily, the owners, they were awesome hosts, and also own the restaurant (The sunset Grill) down the road, def worth a trip!

This video clip was taken on 4 May(Sat),2013 the day before children day.We see many people in the town.They come here for shopping and buying stuffs.All shops remain closed on Sunday.We don't see any cars,vans and even people on the streets on the same time.Amazing.Opening shops and working in Tonga on Sunday is against the law.
